If you've ever wanted to play Metroid, but without the interesting story, without cool powerups, without any challenge, and without any actual open-world backtracking that sort of coined the phrase 'metroidvania', then buy the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game. Otherwise, stay away.Instead, go purchase an actual good game like Terraria.. It's an hour or two long, but the biggest challenge is remembering which way to go as there is no map. The ending kind of makes sense but it does feel a little insulting.. Reminds me a lot of Exile's end. ok game.. This game is hardly even an hour and a half, no music, no enemy AI, no plot, no point, no map its just total garbage and super dull.. To be completely honest, Inescapable isn't worth the money it's being sold for. It's great as an experiment or a demo but I'd steer clear if you were expecting anything deep or innovative. It's not a bad game. Some bad design decisions and uninspired story but entirely playable and finishable in ~2 hours. I'd recommend Axiom Verge. It's a Metroidvania with TONS of more depth, replayability, challenge and fun. If you've all but exhausted all the games that have this style of gameplay (are you for real?!) I'd say you can buy this on the super cheap but... you're honestly better off watching a playthrough.Easily skippable, but not a bad game.
